| 2-22-08. If you're like me, you're getting cabin fever, so I was pleased when I walked outside and found a harbinger of spring, a lavender Tommy Crocus tommasinianus, in full bloom. I recently bought a Kodak C813 to photograph guppies for my website, so it's only natural that I would begin to take photos of my flowers. Up close, the blossoms take on a whole new dimension. I learned at an early age to surround myself with beauty in order to block out the ugliness of the world. What I plan to do is photograph flowers and name them for you (and myself) to see in living color. In several ways, a picture is better than the real thing. I mean, a photo never wilts. So, come along for the ride. I can't wait for the daffodils to bloom. I've planted about five thousand--rare pinks, apricots, doubles, minis, heirlooms, etc. Enjoy your virtual walk through my own private gardens! |

| Funny how a little thing like Tommy Crocus can brighten your whole day. I purchased the heirloom corms in 2003 from Old House Gardens an excellent source for hard to find heirloom bulbs. 2-22-08 |
